ABOUT

PUBLICPARTS is a London-based studio creating material-led objects that sit between product and sculpture.

The work focuses on silicone as both structure and surface. It is usually hidden, but here it is made visible. Each piece is cast and assembled by hand, with the process left intentionally clear. Seams, joins and small irregularities are not removed. They form part of the final object.

Current work explores light as a soft, diffused presence. Lamps are produced in small batches or as one-off variations. Each piece carries subtle differences in tone, density and finish.

All objects are made in-house in limited quantities.

PUBLICPARTS is the ongoing practice of Billy Easter, working across design, material experimentation and object-making. The studio developed out of a focus on process-driven work, where how something is made is as important as the final outcome.
